seriously. life could not get any crazier. well...maybe it could. but right now? its in overdrive.

update:
I totaled my car. and no, not in a horrific accident (thank the good lord) but in the I rear ended someone way and therefore, I no longer have a car. upside? getting a new car. downside? its a pain in the ass.

tomorrow is my last day of class and I could not be happier. yes, I have finals but that means its over. OVER. I know many people are feeling the same joy and we should all rejoice together. as in a giant party.
with everyone we know. in a large venue. because thats what would hold that many people.

two weeks?!

i would like to apologize on behalf of myself and michelle for being silent for TWO WEEKS! wow i am seriously shocked. we took a little break because life was getting pretty crazy with school and work and...life but i hadn't realized it had been two weeks. so so so sorry! i promise we will never be MIA like that again. 


on a happier note, today was thanksgiving! normally for thanksgiving my mom and i drive to yuma to hang out with our family and have a feast around a long table and eat all the normal t-day foods along with some unique family faves. however, this year all the little clumps that make up my family were all travelling so we did not gather. at first i was little sad about this because i was going to be in charge of decorating the table but today turned out to be pretty great anyway.
coincidentally today was my roommates birthday so we started the day off with some french toast and presents, made up of mostly green things since it is her favorite color. then we spent the rest of the day cooking (well i didn't do much cooking since i am kitchen illiterate. haha.) and of course eating. after a day filled with food, love, and laughter i can happily say that i am most thankful for the people in my life that surround me and fill me up with joy. :)

so sorry for the such a long break between blogs! life has been crazy over here in arizona. 

recently, i applied for a job at coach for the holiday season so i wandered over to their website to see what kind of bags are out right now and whats new and exciting. of course, i found a million things that i want. 

yum, i love this kristin leather hobo. they also have it gray (which i'm a sucker for) but this emerald is a nice color as well.

i'm in love.

i'm also in love with man, charlie hunnam. i've been finishing up season two of sons of anarchy on fx. let me tell you, i'll take one of these boys anyday.

good morning!
last night i had a dream about puppies and thought i would share some of the adorable bundles that were running and tumbling through my dreams. 
when it comes to little dogs i'm not really into the little fluffy, cutesy ones. i like the ones that are a little more quirky or unusual, so that is why i am currently craving smush faced puppies!
i love these little guys, with their mushed in noses and extreme underbites. i want them all!...or maybe just one, for now. :)

here it is, the last installment of my anthropologie wishlist. it includes some things for the kitchen, bookshelf and even the christmas tree!

- these little cups are true to their name, they would brighten up any morning. such fun patterns.

2. Sweater Weather Candle Tin in Warm Gingerbread. $18

- this candle smells good enough to eat. we had it burning in the store and so many people asked if we had something baking in the back. yum.

3. Voluspa Maison Candle in Figue de Bordeaux. $16

- i love this candle, it has such a pretty tin and the scent is perfect for this time of year. it has a little pine and berry and other fall/wintery smells that would fill up a house and make it feel cozy.

- these pages are full of beautiful, inspiring photos with ways to use the things you already have along with some antique and thrifted pieces to create a unique style.

5. Little Women. $20

- such a classic and with the most adorable cover. this is one of many of a collection peguin books has done with these cute cloth covers. i will hopefully own them all someday.

- a true story of the author's adventures of love, with food and men, in Paris. with recipes included. cute.

7. Cover Story Postcards. $25

- i love postcards and i wish more people would send them. the pictures on these are the covers of classic books. they would be great as wall art as well as a fun piece of mail.

8. Ring of Asters Sheet Set. $119.95(sale)

- the duvet on my bed is a deep teal with big white doodley flowers and i think these sheets would be a great set to pair with it. i love to mix patterns and i think the yellow, grey and black of these sheets would be a fantastic partner to the dark teal.

9. Savannah Story Ornament, Zebra. $16

- this is such a fun ornament. it was handmade in Haiti with recycled papers so it is eco-friendly as well as a great contribution to the rebuilding of Haiti. also in the herd are an elephant, a giraffe and a rhinoceros. i picked the zebra because they are my favorite animal. i would love to add this little guy to the mix of vintage, elementary school crafted and sparkly ornaments that adorn my tree every year.

part two: accessories.

-this necklace is waaay too expensive so i'll probably never own it but it is the coolest necklace i have ever seen. strands of mini leather bound books! being the book worm that i am (remember i want to be an editor?) this is seriously the perfect necklace for me. maybe my friends and family will realize this and all pitch in to get it for me. (hint, hint)

-this is such a fun necklace. it would add a whimsical touch to any outfit.

-this bag reminds me of an old lady's knitting bag which i love. i have an unusual love for old things or things that remind me of old things. (or things that old people would have) :)

-i really like the structure of this bag. it reminds me of an oversized coin purse and i love the military vibe it has and the giant wooden buttons.

-aren't these so cute? horses on tights. love it. clearly i have a thing for horses as seen in my freak out over the dress with horses on it in part one. these also come in a fox print. yes please.

-i love all these knit tights with unusual items on them. i feel like tights can be such a huge impact on an outfit and i love that these would add such an unexpected bit of playfulness.

-these remind me so much of vintage shoes from the 30's. and of peacocks. love.

-i have been searching for some caramel colored flat riding boots and these are lovely. if only my wallet didn't faint every time it saw the price.

anthro. part one.

i have wanted to work at anthropologie since the moment i first stepped into one when i was fifteen. about two months ago this dream came true and it is honestly the best job i have ever had. i love being surrounded by all of the beautiful and unique things. from the adorable outfits to the creative displays, i get a dose of inspiration every time i go to work. plus i love all my co-workers too. :)

since we have already started putting out ornaments and christmas cards in the store i thought i would post a very early christmas wishlist of the the things i would love to have.

i'm going to break it up into three parts: clothes, accessories, and home things.

so here is part one. 

clothes:

1. Endless Plains Blouse. $78.
-i love the sweet, femininity of this top. it makes me think of a cutesy farm girl.
2. Fauvism Top. $68.
-this top is so soft and in a great fall floral pattern.
3. Soldierly Sparkle Top. $68.
-a great upgrade on the traditional henley with metallic military like detailing and roll-up sleeves with buttons.
4. Andalusian Horse Dress. $298.
-i love this dress so much! navy, flowy chiffon dress with little white horses all over it, i couldn't ask for anything more.
5. Watercolor Folds Dress. $348.
-great colors on this dress. i also really like the interesting pleating and architecture.
6. Matriarch Skirt. $88.
-love the mustard yellow of this skirt and the geometric girls along the bottom. 
7. Sequin Flame Blazer. $158.
-sequins are so christmas to me so this would be perfect to wear over a dress for holiday parties.
8. Paperbag Crops. $98.
-love the fact that these are high waisted and that the top is bunched. way cute.

i am on the hunt to find the perfect leather/faux leather jacket. leather makes me think of bikers, rockstars and badasses, which would be great if i could be all three at once, haha. give me that anyday.

tonight me and cristen have hip hop so i thought i'd share video of a choreographer i found on youtube. she has such sassy choreography and i just love it. her name is emily sasson and this is body bounce.

blonde ambition.

in february i turned twenty and decided i needed a new hairstyle. so i cut all my hair off into a pixie cut. since then it has been various shades of brown, brown-red, and most recently red-red.  that is until last night when i went blonde. on the seventh of november michelle and i are going to be hair models for her mom's salon. there's going to be a fashion show and a street fair where we're going to be rocking our new do's and talking up the salon. (don't worry we will post pictures.) so in preparation for the fair we got out the bleach and went to work.

i freak out a little every time i walk by a mirror because i don't recognize myself but i am totally in love with it. 


on another note, i think i am a coke fiend. now before you get your panties in a twist i'm talking about coca-cola. i think i have reached a point where it is necessary for me to have a coke at least once a day. i was pretty much dragging all day today until this evening when i stopped by subway for dinner. after just the first sip i felt ten times more awake. this could become a problem with my wallet, dentist and waistline but it is so good. i guess it's a good thing i have souvie cups from a few places where it only costs a dollar to fill up!

cristen and i visited betsey johnson the other day and i forgot how much i love betsey's evening dresses! i love the bright colors, frills, lace and hot pink tulle. taking a look at her website i found some winners that i would love to wear to a christmas/new years eve event perhaps? love the sparkle of the sugar and spice and the pattern of hartley is to die for. awesome models as well.
